This Ash Wednesday, we remember those dead from COVID-19.

Ash Wednesday begins Lent with a reminder of our mortality. This Ash Wednesday, our mortality swirls among us as our world battles a terrible pandemic. Hundreds of thousands have died, yet it seems little public attention is paid to the amount of suffering. While normally, we receive the ashen cross on our foreheads and hear the dread promise, "Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return," this year, we mark our mortality with a remembrance of those we lost to COVID. In the field below, share with us the names of anyone you know, famous or family, who lost their lives to this terrible disease. Names to be remembered are due by Monday, February 15th at 5:00 PM. Join us on Ash Wednesday, February 17 at 7PM on Zoom for a service of lament, confession, and thanksgiving as we commit ourselves to the discipline of Lent. Details available on our church calendar.
